Yoga Nidra is Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR)
Client Populations: Family, Children, Teens, Adult
Yoga Nidra is a practice that has been used for thousands of years to achieve deep rest within the body, mind, and spirit. It is also known as “yogic sleep.”
In this video, Andrew Huberman, professor of neurology and ophthalmology at Stanford, shares his experience with yoga nidra. He came to refer to the practice as Non-Sleep Deep Rest, or NSDR, in order to give the practice a descriptive name (this answers the question, “what is it?” - and using this label remove any intentions or mysticism that might exist around yoga).
